NeoBump ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Dr. Yahya MS, FWACS, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist. We built NeoBump to support women navigating pregnancy after loss—a deeply personal journey that requires the highest standards of privacy protection.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the NeoBump mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

We understand that the information you share with us is sensitive. We treat it with the care and respect it deserves.

Information You Provide Directly

Account Information

• Email address
• Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
• Display name (optional, can be anonymous)

Profile Information

• Date of previous pregnancy loss(es)
• Current pregnancy due date
• Gestational age
• Healthcare provider information (optional)
• Partner's email (if you choose to enable partner sharing)

Health Information

• Symptoms you log (bleeding, cramping, nausea, etc.)
• Emotional states and mood entries
• Journal entries
• Questions you ask in AI chat
• Appointment dates and notes

Community Content

• Posts you create in the community forum
• Comments and replies
• Reactions to other users' posts

Payment Information

If you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. We receive only confirmation of successful payment, subscription status, and last four digits of your card (for your reference).

Information Collected Automatically

Device Information

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• Unique device identifiers
• App version

Usage Information

• Features you use and how often
• Screens you view
• Time spent in the app
• Crash reports and error logs

We do NOT collect:

• Your precise GPS location
• Your contacts or address book
• Your photos (unless you explicitly upload one)
• Data from other apps on your device

• All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS 1.3 encryption
• Sensitive health data is encrypted at rest in our database

• Only authorized personnel can access user data

Infrastructure

• Our servers are hosted on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade security
• We use Firebase services which comply with SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 standards
• Regular security assessments and updates

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party services to operate NeoBump:

• Firebase (Google): Database, authentication, analytics, crash reporting
• Stripe: Payment processing
• OpenAI: Powers our AI chat feature

AI Chat Data

When you use the "Ask Dr. Yahya" AI chat feature, your messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. We send only your message and relevant context—no identifying information (your name, email, or account ID is not sent).

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access Your Data: View your personal information within the app or by emailing us
• Correct Your Data: Update your profile information anytime in the app
• Delete Your Data: Request deletion via Settings > Account > Delete Account or email privacy@neobump.app
• Export Your Data: Export journal entries and symptom logs as PDF from Settings
• Opt Out of Communications: Manage notifications in your device settings or in-app preferences

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

• Active Accounts: All data retained while your account exists
• Deleted Accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
• Backup copies: Deleted within 90 days

Children's Privacy

NeoBump is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

International Data Transfers

NeoBump is operated from Nigeria. If you access the Service from outside Nigeria, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Nigeria or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you via email or in-app notification.
